XING means „it works“ in Chinese and the Hamburg-based online portal couldn’t have chosen a better name for itself. XING works – and because it works, it has become the most popular network for professionals in the German-speaking world.
A whopping 34 staff members of Brand University of Applied Sciences have profiles on XING, just to illustrate how important the network has become for us, too.
Needless to say, Brand University of Applied Sciences feels privileged to welcome XING as a partner for one of the fascinating and challenging practice projects conducted as part of the International Brand Communication Master’s programme. In this case, the project is embedded in the module “Semiotics and Visual Aesthetics“, taught my Mr Michael Kress and Ms Prof. Dr. Yonca Limon-Calisan.
The traditional project kick off took place at Brand University of Applied Sciences on April 6th, while the final presentation will be held at XING headquarters in Hamburg at a later date. In that presentation, our students will have to prove their success in extending a nationwide campaign to multiple channels, interactive formats, and – preferably – social or other digital media.
To that end, the students will have to apply aesthetic research on the ambiguity of signs and language while exploring XING’s campaign in the fields of art, design, and media communication. As a result, they will live and experience creativity to the fullest.
