United in the fight against corona – face masks from Ningbo

During the Corona Crisis, face masks shape the image on the streets all over the world. What was previously only known from Asian metropolises has now also become reality in the rest of the world.

Not only culturally, the need to cover our mouths and noses as a protective measure strikes us unprepared in Germany – masks were previously uncommon here in Germany and therefore less available.

So the colleagues at our Chinese partner university, Zhejiang Wanli University in Ningbo, came up with the idea of sending us a delivery of face masks. It reached us with the strong message: “United in the fight against the Coronavirus!

With this donation, our Chinese colleagues not only considered students and employees of Brand University, but also the German Red Cross.

A delivery with a grand gesture – for us a great pleasure and a sign that one thing has become noticeably more in recent times: solidarity.

The exceptional situation ensures that international cooperation does not stop, but that attention can go beyond sharing know-how. For example, hands-on in the form of a delivery of face masks.
