Graduation: Ceremony of the graduating class of 2022

Finally holding their own diplomas in their hands, the big day arrived for our Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022.

In the festive ambience of the Mozartsäle, we said goodbye to our newly graduated students from the Brand Management and Brand Innovation programs and from the cooperation program with our partner university in Hangzhou. Due to the pandemic, the festivities took place within the framework of two smaller ceremonies.

The awards were opened by Prof. Dr. Jörg Igelbrink, followed by the academic speech of the university president Prof. Dr. h. c. Shan Fan. Furthermore, we were very pleased to have Hans Meuers, representative of the faculty, as speaker.

At the first ceremony, the Master’s graduates were honored by their program director Michael Kress. The class representatives’ speeches were a highlight.

Firstly, Tianyi Chu, student from the cooperation program with Hangzhou addressed a few honorable words to the attendees. The graduates from the partner university in Hangzhou were also able to attend online. Lynn Treudler gave a lively speech. Both graduates thanked their professors and lecturers on behalf of their fellow students for the instructive study time.

The Master’s ceremony was followed by the second award ceremony and the associated honoring of the Bachelor’s graduates by Prof. Dr. Sven Christiansen

Tom Thaddäus Storde also had his say as a representative of his degree program. In a charming speech, he thanked the professors, lecturers and his fellow students for the three years of study at Brand University. Further, he addressed the challenges of studying in pandemic times.

The graduation ceremony of the winter semester 2021/22 will be remembered as an extraordinary day. Congratulations to our new alumni! We wish you all the best for your future and a successful start to your careers!
