Trend research: Brand Managers try out the Trendexplorer

Understanding industries, identifying trends, gaining inspiration and creating your own ideas on this basis – this process is a real challenge. At the same time, it is an important part of our students’ studies and their future work.

It is therefore essential to know the right tools for support.

Our students of the 2nd semester Brand Management are learning how to use the tool “Trendexplorer” within the seminar “Trend Research”.

In order to learn directly from an expert, Prof. Ute Röseler welcomed Tobias Munsch from TrendOne to her seminar. The company based in Hamburg developed Trend Explorer as a means of identifying trends and categorising them into macro and micro trends. Its constantly growing database provides companies and universities with a research tool.

With its help, worldwide insights into markets and technologies can be generated in the shortest possible time. No matter whether you are familiar with a topic or not – the knowledge about the most relevant industry trends and innovations is immediately usable.

Our brand managers can now test how they can best work with the tool for one semester at the Trend Research Seminar and also put it to practical use in their practical projects.

We would like to thank Tobias Munsch for his visit and the kick-off on the topic of trend research.
