Social Impact Through Design Thinking – Öffentlicher Gastvortrag von Impact Week Mitgründer & BA-Studierenden (10.1.18)

Impact Week fosters entrepreneurship, innovation and intercultural exchange through Design Thinking in order to create social impact.

Since 2015 teams of volunteer professionals have travelled to countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria and Colombia. On location, these teams work with students on new sustainable business models and also train local professors in Design Thinking. The goal:  Facilitating their involvement in the program and generating sustainable development.

Each year’s Impact Week finds its culmination in the Impact Awards, which reward the most promising business ideas. The price money is then invested in mentoring and incubation programs in order to support long-term business development. This year the Impact Week has already generated 62 business ideas involving 320 students in 4 countries.

Brand Academy-teams consisting of students from 8 different countries have already trained more than 70 Design Thinking coaches so far – and built great friendships in the process.

On January 10th at 7PM, Michael Hübl (Co-Founder of Impact Week) will join Stina Kozok (International Brand Communication Master’s student) and Sina Petersen (Communication Design Bachelor’s student) in sharing stories and experiences surrounding Impact Week projects.

The event takes place on the 2nd floor of the Brand Academy Campus, Rainvilleterrasse 4. Admission is free; no registration necessary.

Don’t miss this opportunity to find out how YOU can participate, too. The best way to experience it, is to experience it!
